Ferry Meadows is the beautiful country park that we are lucky enough to call our home. Here we have spectacular lakes, dense woodland and unspoilt countryside – all less than three miles from the centre of Peterborough and with very convenient road links. When visiting the park, there is always plenty to see and do, even if you just want to find places to eat in Ferry Meadows. We’ve compiled a short list of three things you might like to try on your next visit to the park.

Ferry Meadows Railway

This miniature railway passes many of the most iconic features of Ferry Meadows. The track has been a popular attraction since the park opened in 1978 and is enjoyed by both children and adults. The mini-engines that run along the track offer a stable and comfortable ride and include wheel chair access. Water Activities

Lakes are one of the big attractions at Ferry Meadows. This is true not just from a visual aspect – there is also plenty to do on the water. Nene Outdoors is the organisation that manages many of the water based activities at Ferry Meadows. Visitors can hire kayaks, canoes, boats and pedaloes as well as try their hand at windsurfing, kayaking and sailing. Places to Eat in Ferry Meadows

Lakeside Kitchen & Bar is a great place to eat in Ferry Meadows. We are located in the heart of the country park with beautiful views of the picturesque Gunwade Lake. On the menu we have hot and cold food, including soup, sandwiches and the famous Lakeside burger. We also serve drinks, including teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Another option to sate your appetite is our sister restaurant, Ferry Meadows Café, located next to the visitor centre.
