We’re proud to be located in Ferry Meadows, one of the most beautiful areas in Peterborough. If you fancy getting better acquainted with the park there are a number of ways to enjoy a Ferry meadows tour (and we know of a couple of great places to eat if you get hungry!)

Guided Ferry Meadows Tour

Nene Park Trust provide guided tours around the grounds of Ferry Meadows and the surrounding area. Following a Nene Park Ranger gives you the opportunity to learn more about the area and ask any questions you might have. The tours take place throughout the year, you can keep up to date with all the events at Nene Park by visiting neneparktrust.cloudvenue.co.uk (external link: opens in new tab).

Ferry Meadows Train Tour

The famous mini railway at Ferry Meadows has been at the park since it opened in 1978. More reliable than the real thing and definitely more fun, the marvellous mini railway provides a unique and relaxing perspective of the park. Trains run between March and October, check out the full timetable here: www.ferrymeadowsrailway.co.uk (external link: opens in new tab).

Taking Your Own Ferry Meadows Tour

If you want to take your own tour of Ferry Meadows, you can orient yourself at the Visitor Centre (external link: opens in new tab), located at the entrance of the park. Here, helpful staff are on hand to provide you with information about any events that are running at the park during your visit. Maps are available from the Visitor Centre or, if you’re really prepared, you can download one before you arrive from www.neneparktrust.org.uk/ferry-meadows/leaflets-downloads (external link: opens in new tab). Also available online is the Peterborough’s Natural Networks Mobile Explorer app (external link: opens in new tab).
